Renewable Energy Elegy Honoring Cathy Carmody
Accounting is poetry the way an elegy accounts in song. Like the last time I saw you singing— light of the night Rapping “It Takes Two” by Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock At 2AM, with the team, enjoying Karaoke at the offsite Dancing your whole beautiful authentic self around. Across the stage, singing your heart out, mic in hand, Smile spread, your song still powers us onwards— Reflecting on your cherished memory and your grand Values, we miss you. Like the goldest gleam of sunset Still giving to the solar farm, surrounded by lavender, We feel you. In the big and small. Like last year in a chat, on Slack, you thanked me for being me, you are a true Light, for being queer! You said: makes my heart smile to know I am working for a company that embraces and embodies what I pray the entire population will do one day - kindness, love and respect for absolutely EVERYONE! Unconditional Love like the OG hippie Jesus modeled, not the other nonsense! Anyway, happy Friday and what a beautiful way to close out Pride month! What a beautiful Way to say what I want to sing to you: You are the true Light. Makes my heart smile To have known you who embraces and Embodies what we will energize the world With: an Unconditional Love like the OG hippie Jesus. Like you dancing with the OG hippie Angels. Partying on golden cloud tree canopies— How is renewable energy like a song? Light flows on In your honor. We fight. By/with/for your values, Your unconditional love. In the wind and sun. Singing Onwards. Sing us on, to share your song: LOVE WINS.

Why Sing and Dance in a Burning World After Katie Farris and in loving memory of Cathy Carmody Why Write Love Poetry in a Burning World | The Slowdown To turn photovoltaic solar in the dark past dusk. To turn the selves towards light in the depths of darkness. The world fossil- fueled but still renewable enough to imagine building our selves stacked fighting our selves giving back, stepping forward how we are taking our selves onwards— You’ve heard this song you rapped it at karaoke now I use it to honor you to make a thing go right it takes two to make it pathway, your smile, each swords. Why sing and dance in a burning world? To fight for love with joy for others To win for love with others turning a burning world.
