Horror-Filled October Week DC-Across(tics)
Monday, October 4th, 2021
Being that some days feel like a horror story, and that it’s now
October— this week’s forecasts are cloud-covered scares encoded
Odium, DC-across, ticked towards targets you already know:Monday’s a monster. Dark, with a cloudy morning
And swampy, rain-creeping, this week’s forewarning
Now to prepare, for thunderstorms afternoon-to-evening
Certainly an extreme climate you wouldn’t want to keep feeding
Humidity-dripping, like raining coal dividends
Increasing without bold climate action and with wicked ends
Now more than ever— when you could take a stand.Because we rise rowing together, raising our demands
Sailing The People vs Fossil Fuels expanse.

Beginning with horror vibes this
October— here’s your forecast encoded
Odium, DC-across, ticked-off towards the corporate-devoted:Shilly Tuesday– NOT chilly, as it’s warmish. But as in Shill, presenting one way outside, but
Inside? Gross: considerably cloudy, scattered storm chances, and afternoon showers glut
Navigating district swampland without getting pulled one-over
Even if raining ~$1 million donated from industry interests feels like cover
Maybe we should check, how do you spell “LEGACY” ???
And is yours measured in saved-lives, or in made-money?Because change is coming, but not from your donors
Save from The People vs Fossil Fuels, and your voters.

Between murky weather and news this
October, here’s your forecast as takedown poem in
Odium, DC-across, ticked at targets who’ve had it coming:Gosh it’s a cloudy Wednesday, with misinformation rabid, tells you one thing then goes another way
Obstructing out of habit, stuck in hovering humidity and showers, taking Oil & Gas $$$ to claw onto power
Performing denial “how will we pay for the cost of [any improvement to society]?” every dayBut they never count the cost of lives already lost nor the thriving all could gain
So we’ll count together in The People vs Fossil Fuels campaign
Thursday, October 7th, 2021
But— what’s that sound?
October’s horror stories abound in
Odium, DC-across, ticking down these clowns:Mostly cloudy, Thursday’s talking head is overcast broadcasting the latest, or what ratings say instead
Except— wait, they don’t mention climate? even with it existentially CODE RED?
Do they not feel dread, are they not awake, is it $$$ AdsNotFitToPrint make?
I mean, trillions are at stake— but not as dollars, but
As lives and better days to saveBecause to us— none of this is new, and to them— none of it makes news
So let’s produce our own story, The People vs Fossil Fuels, and tune-in.

Bring on the sun, take light to the dark
Octobering over this week stark, in
Odium, DC-across, tick tock, now is our climate moment:Come on, Friday— early sun shines between clouds our way
Our window of time if slight chances of showers have any say
With humidity high through the day
And the weekend cooler and maybe wetter
Right now’s all we got, so let’s go getters
Don’t back down, standing together
Let’s organize as not to lose it
You with power, time to use itBravery’s needed in-action, not just bold speak
So see you at The People vs Fossil Fuels actions next week.
