More Myth Than Anecdote
Sky yawns / between transmission / tower blue / oblongs
Balanced / on transmission / lines, cradling / electric currents /
Between where / winds blade / and sun / lights,
Let's / go fly / a kite, / turbine to / the highest / height
The / hottest heat, / at a / carbon peak, / wrecked by / records
Everywhere / now, solutions / abound, change / is coming /
Whether you / luck it / or not, / radical action / is inevitable /
In the / face of / extreme weather, / white supremacy, / and christofascism,
So why not instead wield your power and be bold?
Why not reparations, resistance, and renewables?
Before anything else, focusing on the basics
Going forward with solarpunk vibes that are more like
An actual David
And Goliath
That's more like
The Aiders
Versus Oil Liars
Or Reclaimers
Against Coal Liars
Maybe the Brave
Against Gas Liars
Justice-Makers
Against Corrupt Financiers
Solar-free-ers
Against hoarders and blockers
Wind breezes
Against
Efficiencies
Against
Transitions
Against status quotients
However you want to tell the story,
biblically, cinematically, you do you—
the story will tell you— this is hell, this is a show:
when you know men fight only for glory and gold
while renewable rebels gather underground
I know how it feels to be misunderstood
To be thought of as the alternative kid
But now you see, clean energy is cool
As with care and interconnection—
always has been.
