The People Who Have Influenced Me In Climate
I have been interested in Climate for a while now.
But I owe a lot of the progress I've made to these people:
Dr. Katharine Hayhoe
“A thermometer isn't democrat or republican. It won't give you a different number depending on how you vote“
Climate scientist extraordinaire. I met her at a Houston conference. She led a value-based climate communications workshop which changed my life.
Eric Holthaus
“We can demand something better. Our imaginations are the most powerful tools we have to fight climate change."
Meteorologist and climate leader. Fearless communicator leading with heart. Always finding the turn towards radical hope.
Dr. Robert Bullard
"America is segregated, and so is pollution."
The Father of Environmental Justice. Dr. Bullard also spoke at the Houston conference, moving me to shift focus to center justice.
These people have taught me so much—and, just like they did with me, I hope to pass along my own learnings to the next person.
Who has influenced you on climate?
